So you want to go on a trip? Getting there may seem overwhelming, but here we strive in making the process go fast and as stress-free as possible! I will explain my process through this post, so please read through it carefully to understand how I can help you. In another post, I’ll explain all the trip types I know more about, and any types of trips you can book through me!
To start with, I have a chat with you about everything you want on your trip. Things like how many are traveling, how many kids you may have, what your budget is, and any personal information I need to start gathering quotes for your trip. You can get a jump on this by filling out our form here on the site! This can help speed up the process, and give me all of the information I need to get started on your itinerary.
After getting all of your information, I may email or call you (depending on how you specified your contact preference) to clarify anymore information I may need. I then move on to researching everything I can about your trip. Once I feel like I have done enough research, I will send you a few quotes about your trip. You take the time to decide which one would suit your preferences, or I look into more choices. Around this point, I need to have your sign off on a few things, like payment authorization, insurance, some terms and conditions, ect. I will send this to you through email.
Once you have made your selection, we book your trip. There will be a deposit amount that is needed up front for your destination. All of these purchases will be sent to the legitimate sources (like Disney, Universal Studios, hotels, flights, car rentals, ect.) and not through me specifically. This is because you, for the most part, are not paying me for these services. I get a commission from these legitimate sources for selling you a trip. I am a third party, and not in any way working for those sources. I may have some planning fees set in place, but that is usually a separate one-time fee for optional special services I go out of my way to help you secure, such as: dinner reservations, genie +, memory maker, ect.
Now that you have booked your trip, I keep in mind all of the dates you will need to remember. There may be several payments being made until you are about to go on your trip. Any updates or modifications for your trip should be done as soon as possible. This is to ensure you are getting everything correctly for your trip. The most important is to know when your final payment date is. I will remind you on multiple occasions of this day, as this is the last day you can pay for your trip in full on time. If you paid for travel insurance, which I highly recommend you get, you could have an easier time in canceling your trip with little/to no repercussions as long as you’re within the time limit. You will need to make a claim after canceling your trip to receive a cash or credit through your insurance. (I am not an insurance agent so I am not all knowing and cannot speak on it. I will give you the link to the insurance, however.)
Finally, you are ready for your trip! I help keep you updated on any changes or notifications about your trip throughout this whole process. I can work on your special services, such as your genie + and dinner reservations, at this time. Really, all you need to worry about is getting ready for your trip. I will send some emails/messages reminding you about your upcoming trip a day or two before you set out to your destination. Day of, I will check in with you, and make sure there were no flight/hotel/cruise changes that you may need to be aware of. (This could be due to the weather, emergencies, ect.) Then I send you on your way! I will try to limit my contact, as I do not want to interrupt your fun, but I will check in maybe a couple times, to establish that your trip is running smoothly. Once your trip is over, I will touch base a few days after you have settled back in at home. And there you have it!
